The latest situation dashboard on the WHO website confirms a rise in the number of confirmed cases and deaths caused by Novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has issued Port Marine Circular (PMC) 04 of 2020 on 'DORSCON Orange Precautionary Measures For Shipping Community'. The new circular is on top of the measures that MPA had implemented under Port Marine Circular 02 and Port Marine Circular 03 of 1 February – 'Extension of Precautionary Measures to Minimise Risk of Community Spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus in Singapore' and 'Maritime Declaration of Health'. The circulars can be found on the right.
Maritime Industry Australia Ltd (MIAL) has updated its website providing the most up to date advice that it has available to it from the Australian authorities. MIAL advises that the Australian government will extend the current measures designed at minimising the risks of an outbreak of Coronavirus, with a reassessment to occur in 7 days.
The club would also like to thank Spark International, Korea for providing us with the latest circulars issued by Korean authorities who have now expanded the high-risk countries from China to include Hong Kong and Macau. All vessels arriving from or via China, Hong Kong and Macau will be subject to enhanced screening measures. The circulars and their free English translations provided by Spark International is available on the right.
