Following a large explosion at Tianjin port last week, investigations are ongoing as to the cause of the blast. The club understands that the explosion took place at a warehouse at the port reportedly storing dangerous and chemical goods and said to be owned by Tianjin Dongjiang Port Ruihai International Logistics. Extensive damage to property has been reported as well as the loss of many lives.

Immediately following the incident the port authorities suspended all movement of ships and port activities. The club understands that this has been partially lifted but that all oil tankers and oil supply ships may still be prohibited from calling.
