Club correspondent Cariconsult International Limited have reported that creditors of the Venezuelan state oil company, PDVSA, are seeking attachments in the former Netherlands Antilles of cargoes belonging or consigned to PDVSA on vessels arriving in Curacao waters. Accordingly this could have a severe disruptive effect on trading, in particular for tanker operators.

Cariconsult International Limited are listed as correspondents in both Barbados and Surinam. Their contact details are available on this website and at www.steers.com.bb.

We thank Cariconsult and their survey team in Curacao and St Maarten in providing this update.
