Web alert: Paris & Tokyo MOU's commence 'concentrated inspection campaign' from 1 Sept to 30 Nov

Members are advised that the Maritime Authorities of the Paris and the Tokyo Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control have commenced a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) lasting from 1 September to 30 November.  This year’s CIC will focus on ships' adherence to the 'STCW Hours of Rest' regulations​.
 
The purpose of the CIC is to target areas which are over represented in terms of deficiencies or areas which have become the subject of new requirements / conventions. CICs take place on an annual basis, in the same three month window (September to November). A list of previous CIC subjects is available from the Paris MOU website.
