Web Alert: Fishery farm claims in China

The club recommends its members to share this information with their ships calling Chinese ports or trading in Chinese waters in order to minimize the risk of breaking into fishery farms.

Members are recommended to refer to the attached circular PNI1813 issued recently by the club’s correspondents in China (Huatai Insurance Agency & Consultant Service Ltd) on fishery farm claims.

Huatai advises that in year 2017, they handled around seventy-one (71) fishery farm entry claims in China, among which Lanshan (Shandong province) accounted for over half (48 claims). The statistics depicted in the attached circular, even though not exhaustive, are still representative.
