Web Alert: BMP5 - INTERCARGO announces release and updates to piracy guidance publications

The Loss Prevention department would like to make members of aware of a recent announcement by INTERCARGO and its industry partners.

They have announced a new publication and updated version of two existing publications:

⦁ New - Global Counter Piracy Guidance for Companies, Masters and Seafarers 

⦁ Updated - Best Management Practices to Deter Piracy and Enhance Maritime Security in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea (BMP5)

⦁ Updated - Guidelines for Owners, Operators and Masters for protection against piracy and armed robbery in the Gulf of Guinea region 

A new industry website, Maritime Global Security, has been launched. This website is designed to provide guidance for members on a range of ‘Maritime Security Issues’.
