Since its creation in September 2015, the club’s pre-employment medical examination (PEME) scheme has conducted over 12,500 examinations on behalf of club members. These examinations have been fundamental in the club’s efforts to reduce the toll of preventable illness claims.
Members and seafarers can now access the Standard Club’s enhanced PEME services in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Georgia and Ukraine. This expansion increases the number of clinics to 53, 5 countries across 23 different locations.
