Seafarer wellbeing has been a focal topic for Standard Club in recent years, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic and we are proud to be working in partnership with Sailors’ Society’s Wellness at Sea programme, sharing helpful advice and resources over the next 27 weeks.

Wellness does not just refer to a person’s physical health, but to all the different, yet connected aspects of who they are – from their relationships and emotions to their finances. Sailors’ Society’s Wellness at Sea programme looks at the well-being of the whole person.

Sailors’ Society offers a coaching programme as well as an e-learning course for seafarers and companies alike to think about their own wellness in five key areas of life: social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual. By helping seafarers take control of each of these areas of their lives, Wellness at Sea can empower them to make a positive impact on their health and well-being as a whole.

Standard Club has a publication on seafarer wellbeing that covers all aspects of wellness for a seafarer as well.

Stay tuned to this space as more resources from both Standard Club and Sailors’ Society will be shared regularly.
