12 May 2015
London

The Standard Club's offshore forum was a unique opportunity for members involved in the offshore industry to meet and discuss the current issues.

The Standard Club's annual offshore forum is a unique opportunity for members involved in the offshore industry to meet and discuss the current issues. The forum is open to members, non-members and our market underwriters and is intended to stimulate debate and advance attendees' knowledge and experience of the issues discussed.

This year's forum focused on offshore dismantling and removal from a contractors’ perspective. We discussed the current offshore market and its future outlook, with a focus on decommissioning - the technical, compliance and operational risks involved and the insurance solutions that are available from both The Standard Club and the wider market.

The forum further considered the comparative approaches to causation, looked at club claims trends, the changes in the offshore landscape and how the club has adapted over the years to keep pace with developments. In closing, Robert Dorey introduced The Standard Syndicate 1884.

All the presentations given by our speakers can be found via the link on the right.
