Further to the club’s previous update in December, our China correspondent Oasis P&I has released a new circular giving guidance on the new relaxations in Covid-19 precautionary requirements for ships visiting ports in China.
As per the latest requirements:
- PCR tests for new joining crew are no longer required.
- Local customs department will gradually stop carrying out PCR test on crew members.
- Crew change including for foreign crew would be allowed in Chinese ports.
- Some ports in China such as Shanghai, Qingdao, Dalian etc will allow surveyors to attend onboard.
