News: Stevedore strike at Setubal and Lisboa ports

We have been informed by our correspondent in Portugal of a stevedore strike until 30th March at the ports of Setubal and Lisboa.

At Setubal the stevedores are expected to refuse to provide services to ships on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

At Sadoport the stevediores will refuse to provide services on the same days as Setubal and during other business days they will abstain from work between 10am and 11am, 3pm and 4pm, and 10pm to 11pm.

At Lisboa the strike will prevent loading/discharge of dry cargo.

Members are advised to contact their local agent prior to calling at these ports.
