News: Standard Club is proud to contribute a seafarer wellbeing focus within four upcoming issues of Offing Echoes magazine

Seafarer wellbeing has been a focal topic for Standard Club’s Loss Prevention team, particularly in recent years, as the club notes an increasing number of ‘people claims’. This indicates that there is clear upward trend of mental health related illnesses.

We are heartened that Offing Echoes, a magazine aimed at marine cadets which covers stories from actively sailing Mariners, as well as Business, Education, Technical, Travel, Health and Talent news, shares our perspective and is aligned with our vision of doing our part for the maritime industry in generating awareness on the importance of seafarer wellbeing and how seafarers can take care of themselves. Standard Club is pleased to share a different set of our posters from our Seafarer Wellbeing poster campaign, each focusing on a different element of seafarer wellbeing, in four editions of Offing Echoes within the Health Echo section. 

We kick off our contribution with the August 2020 publication, focusing on 'Socialisation on board during a Covid-19 pandemic' in which we also commit the cover of the magazine! The August 2020 PDF is linked on the right.
