In response to Council decision 2012/35/CFSP issued by the EU on 23 January 2012 the International Group has produced the below ‘Frequently Asked Questions’.
At present Council decision 2012/35/CFSP is not binding upon any individuals or entities, however this will change once the EU issue a Regulation implementing the decision which is expected in the coming weeks. The IG intends to regularly update the FAQs in response to common queries and developments as they occur.
The FAQs are designed to provide an overview, guidance and a general commentary on the nature and scope of the decision and impending Regulation and Members should continue to consult with your contact at the club or your preferred lawyers on specific issues.
