Standard Club Offshore forum 27 May 2014
2014 Singapore Offshore Forum, Tuesday 27 May at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
The Singapore offshore forum, hosted by Standard Club and Charles Taylor, is a unique opportunity for members who operate within the oil and gas markets, including shipowners, oil companies, regulators, reinsurers, to meet and discuss the current industry issues. The forum is intended to stimulate debate and advance attendees' knowledge and experience of the issues discussed.
The focus this year was on floating LNG, as projects come to maturity. We discussed the current FLNG market and its future outlook, as well as the operational risks that these projects present and the P&I insurance solutions that are available for some of these risks.
The forum also considered the impact of varying standard of offshore regulations around the world and the concept ‘the definition of a ship’ and how this affects the right of FPSO and FLNG units to limit. Further, we provided an update on Cabotage in the APAC region. We were very pleased to welcome such high calibre speakers to this year's forum. Please see attached programme for full details and feel free to access the presentations.
