The club refers to its recent circulars and web alerts (all of which can be found here), on the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks (the Nairobi Convention) which came into force on 14 April 2015. SingaporeThe Nairobi Convention will enter into force for Singapore on 8 September 2017.From this date, those members with ships flying the Singaporean flag will be able to obtain a Nairobi Convention certificate from the Singaporean authorities.Nairobi Convention certificates already obtained by Singaporean flagged vessels from any other state party prior to the ratification of the Nairobi Convention by Singapore will be acceptable to the Singaporean authorities until their expiry and do not need to be re-issued or replaced.
