Standard Club suggests that in order to avoid any compliance-related issues all inventories of hazardous materials should be submitted two months before the EU’s December 31 deadline.

With the deadline looming to prepare an inventory of hazardous materials for ship recycling, and prevailing lockdowns and travel restrictions, shipowners’ efforts to obtain a certificate are likely to stumble. Standard Club suggests that in order to avoid any compliance-related issues all inventories of hazardous materials should be submitted two months before the EU’s December 31 deadline.
