Hong Kong Shipowners Association circular : People's Republic of China regulations on Prevention and Control of Marine Pollution from Ships
The HKSOA has recently published the attached circular regarding the regulations on the Prevention and Control of Marine Pollution from Ships which took effect in China on 1st March.
With regard to the list of approved insurers on page 3 (Compulsory Insurance), please note that this is a list of insurers approved to provide pollution insurance for ships registered in the People's Republic of China, and therefore is only relevant for Chinese flagged ships. Ships flagged elsewhere may be covered by insurers which are not on the list, provided that they carry the correct certificates in accordance with the applicable International Conventions.
