The Defence class provides legal expenses insurance to shipowners, charterers,
and ship operators or managers.
This class covers the cost of legal fees and other expenses incurred by a member
in investigating, pursuing or resisting a wide variety of claims arising out of
shipping operations, including claims for hire, freight or demurrage, and
disputes with suppliers and shipyards.
