The club insurers a number of passenger ships and ferries. Of particular interest to such operators is the cover provided by the club in respect of passenger personal injury claims, and dock damage claims while berthing. So far as passengers are concerned, cover extends to injury, illness and death claims as well as claims for loss of or damage to baggage or effects. The cover is limited to US$2 billion in respect of liability to passengers, and US$3 billion in respect of liability to passengers and crew. In relevant jurisdictions, a passenger's claims would be subject to the Athens Convention.
The club can also provide additional cover for extended passenger liabilities, for example while passengers are on shore excursions.
